If you find a rotor with the proper thickness but much larger OD... you will not be using the whole rotor surface.

I would get a rotor that is similar sized to what the rotor is designed for.

I believe the Evo9 is a 13" rotor. You can probably get them from Stoptech (may be off production right now.. due to manufacturing location changes)..
